We were one of the homeowners who had an ice dam. Water damage throughout our whole hallway wall, floor, and trim. I would not expect Blackstead to replace the damage but would like to know who the subcontractors are to fix the damage so that it all looks the same as it did before. Especially the drywall pattern. Our front courtyard was built with pavers which is absolutely beautiful. BUT when the Winter came and brought all the snow and ice there has become an issue where our iron gate is. Part of the pavers have sunk down and part of the pavers have swelled up so the gate won’t shut. It is a very noticeable problem. I’m not sure if it will come back…[Read more]

We have also talked with other homeowners, not just ours but other builders that have had similar issues even with concrete. We have been told that when the weather gets better the frost heaves will go back down. So, best thing to do, it wait it out if you can and let the frost heaves settle. Sorry this happened, what a crazy winter. I know this response is super late, but I also have heard that you guys have talked with Mike. I hope you got the subcontractor list that you requested. Sorry once again for the issues. I have heard many other people having similar problems (new and old homes alike)
