Our front courtyard was built with pavers which is absolutely beautiful. BUT when the Winter came and brought all the snow and ice there has become an issue where our iron gate is. Part of the pavers have sunk down and part of the pavers have swelled up so the gate won’t shut. It is a very noticeable problem. I’m not sure if it will come back to the normal state when the weather warms up or if we have some fixing to do?
We have also talked with other homeowners, not just ours but other builders that have had similar issues even with concrete. We have been told that when the weather gets better the frost heaves will go back down. So, best thing to do, it wait it out if you can and let the frost heaves settle. If you still have the problem in the spring after the thaw, please contact the landscapers, Lawco to get some help. Landscape: Lawnco: Jack Fleck 208-323-0234
I have heard this as well. I will wait to see what happens in the Spring. As for now, I am very pleased with Mike Brown and his response time on emails, phone messages, and text messages,
after the ice dams hit! I am sure there have been several homes hit with issue and I am so happy that I am able to use the subcontractors that Blackstead uses to fix my hallway and flooring. I will definitely buy or build another home with Blackstead Home Builders again! Thanks for all you do!!!
